You are invited to our special evening workshop where we will focus on our brain chemistry and cravings and most importantly how to deal with them. The session will be led by Jolene Park, functional nutrionist and TEDx speaker. Jolene is based in the US and is now on a UK Training Tour and will visit us as a guest speaker.
As usual after the 2 hour session there will be an opportunity to socialize and network among the participants.
How to Nourish Your Craving Brain & Build Resilience
Have you ever wondered why it is so difficult to reduce cravings and get rid of bad habits?
Cravings are motivational states that give us the urge to - for example - seek out and consume a particular food. You know the feeling - no matter what you eat, you’re not satisfied until you eat that one, specific snack.
These uncontrollable urges may relate to sugar, alcohol, obsessive worry, overspending etc It doesn’t matter what your vice is during this workshop you will learn practical tools to build your inner resilience and nourish your nervous system in a comprehensive and consistent way.
Your rational mind wants the great beach body, but your emotional mind wants the cookie, or glass (or more) of wine. Drawing from research in functional nutrition, neuroscience and somatic (body) psychology you’ll discover how specific foods, movements and relaxation techniques can help you calm and regulate your body/mind in a healthy, sustainable way.
Jolene Park will share the science behind why it’s important to replenish your neurotransmitter and nourish our nervous systems. You will learn how to support your individual biochemistry and regulate your fight, flight, freeze stress response.

Jolene Park is a functional nutritionist, health coach and trauma informed yoga instructor. She founded her consulting company, Healthy Discoveries in 2001 and has worked as a corporate wellness consultant, speaker and workshop facilitator since 2004. Jolene uses real food, high quality nutrients and cutting edge mind/body techniques to help high achieving professionals reduce the anxiety and discomfort in their lives.
Jolene is also the co-host of “Editing Our Drinking & Our Lives Podcast” — an empowering conversation about breaking the stigma and shame around quitting drinking. She gave a TEDx talk on “Gray Area Drinking” in 2017 and created an online membership community and coaching program for individuals. She also trains coaches and healthcare practitioners who want to learn more about the Craving Brain and share this information with their clients and patients.
