However, as the year goes on, your enthusiasm fades away…. goals are motivating at first and you make big plans but then at one moment real life kicks in and some of it starts to feel like a burden or frustration?

Or perhaps you are great at making things happen, and you are very successful at achieving your goals  - but they feel more like an obligations and there is hardly any true joy in making them happen?

How would you like to have a New Year in which not only your goals are achieved and more satisfying, but you also feel even happier, more fulfilled and positive about life? How would you like to start a New Year with strengthening your Mindset and making it more powerful in working towards your happiness and goals?

The quality of our thoughts and our mindset are what really define the quality of our lives. 

By working on our thinking patterns and on our mindset, we can become more successful in achieving our goals. We can get also better at choosing what goals are right for us, realizing why we want them and enjoy the process of achieving them, as well as enjoying our life.

During this workshop we will look into achieving our goals from a different perspective - through the power of positive psychology in creating a powerful mindset for motivation, happiness and better results. We will work on thinking patterns and developing powerful habits for happiness and success.

The training will be very practical and it will give you new ideas and evidence-based knowledge from positive psychology. We will focus on empowering you with a set of impactful tools to apply in your life straight away.

During our full day session we will explore the topic of optimal mindset for happiness and results, starting from powerful goals: (i) what characteristics should a goal have to make it achievable and motivating; (ii) traps in making our goals happen and how to avoid them, and (iii) then diving into diverse elements of powerful mindset.

We will delve in the main foundations of optimal mindset: (a) such as optimism and see how it helps us with goals, when to be careful about it and how to develop more of useful type of optimism; (b) mindfulness as a supportive mechanism for our goals, motivation, happiness, relationships and engagement, and (c) self-compassion and how to come a step closer to becoming our own best friend and treating ourselves with kindness.

We will also explore our inner critic in order to understand it better and learn how to make it work for us.

Furthermore, we will add on the layer of gratitude to our mindset, as a fuel for motivation, happiness and confidence.

Learning goals - at this workshop you will:

  • understand what is positive psychology and how it can be a tool to develop more satisfaction in your life and to achieve better results
  • learn several powerful tools to work with your own thoughts and “own them” instead of them owning you
  • explore further how you think about life and how you could strengthen it in a way that brings better results and happiness
  • work on developing an attitude of being your own best friend and being positive towards yourself
  • get practical tools to cultivate it gratitude, optimism and self-compassion
  • discover a quick method for grounding and mindfulness in any moment
  • learn what growth mindset is and how you can develop it in order to achieve your desired results

The training will be highly interactive and engaging - built on a series of exercises, discussions and reflections.

It will give you new ideas and discoveries about your mindset and ways of thinking to make them even more impactful and positive. The content will be comprehensive, diverse, practical and research-based.

Trainer: Mirna Šmidt is an interpersonal skills trainer since 2008, actively focusing on positive psychology since 2009.  She holds a Master in Applied Positive Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. In parallel with a successful career in advanced technologies, she acquired over ten years of experience in training during which she has collaborated on numerous international learning projects and with many companies in diverse industries. She is also an NLP Master practitioner and holds a range of coaching and training related certifications.

Mirna is the founder of Happiness Academy, an initiative through which she is designing and delivering a broad range of positive psychology educational events and materials, and Trainers' Toolbox, an initiative through which she is sharing the best tools for trainers and coaches, with vision of advancing field of training and education.
